Help us grow a healthy community garden experience!
Join us this growing season and be your own farmer
Our Members and Volunteers help our gardens grow.
Goal:
Our goal is to have a place where the public can grow organic vegetables and flowers for personal use, learn about gardening and share some time outside on this beautiful preserved farmland.
Garden Plots:
Garden plots are available to the public or can be sponsored by local businesses, students and Scouts to raise and harvest fruit and vegetables.
Each garden plot measures 10' x 10' and will be available for planting starting in April.
Resources:
Water and tools are available onsite, and monthly events on various gardening topics are included in the rental fee.
Cost:
The community garden season runs from April through November. Cost per plot is $40 for Friends of Johnston members and $45 for non-members.
Would you love to participate but aren't sure about the plot fee? No problem! Everyone is welcome, and economic assistance can be provided. Email Community Garden Manager for details.
